jack-tools software package provides various JACK tools: dl, record, scope, osc, plumbing, udp, play, transport, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install jack-tools
jack-tools is installed in your system.
Make ensure the jack-tools package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep jack-tools *
You will get with jack-tools package name, version, architecture and description in a table
